paige joined 4:YOU! at 16 after auditioning. like amy, paige was also told that she would be a songwriter, and did get to contribute to their debut album, but the company barred all the girls from writing shortly after. paige became very controlling over time due to how poorly managed the group was. she was terrified of things falling apart and having to go back home. she would often lash out at other members during practice, and would cry after if they didnt do well, even if it was their first time. paige and amy did not get along during their time in 4:YOU!. paige didnt know about amy's chronic illnesses, and this led her to think that amy was lazy and didnt care about the group. she also felt that amy was ungrateful for the oppurtunity to be a part of the group, since amy would constantly complain about how exhausted and miserable she was. like amy, paige recieved a lot of online harassment she wasnt allowed to respond to. much of the harassment paige recieved was misogynistic, often even recieving threatening messages. paige's bipolar also effected her behavior during her time in 4:YOU!. when she was manic, she felt like her dreams had come true, despite the abuse she was facing from the company. but when she was in a depressive episode, she felt trapped. this would often lead her to suicidal ideation, since she saw no other way to escape the company's abuse.
